MMSI numbers + DSC radio

My Nasa passive Radar system logs all the MMSI numbers. If a buy a DSC radio, how do I automatically interface it with the AIS system, so I can call the ship concerned if need to advise of my position?

By manually punching in the MMSI number of the required target into the DSC radio and initiating a DSC call. I hope that level of automation is not too stressful!

DSC radios do not have the interface (they do not understand the necessary NMEA sentence), although it is technically possible. However, Simrad will introduce a Class B transponder in May that will be able to interface with their DSC radios.

Thanks, I thought the the nmea sentences were to good to be true.
