How do I get an mmsi number?

I’ve registered with Ofcom but the website is rather basic and the only option on the ‘portal’ seems to be to apply for a new radio licence. I’ve already got one - I just want to amend it to get an mmsi for an Epirb and DCS radio but I can’t see how to do it.

Am I being thick?

As solent clown says add the DSC radio to your licence. (and remove the non DSC one ??)

In case of any difficulty ring Ofcom. They always seem to be very helpful and will probably sort it for you

Thanks, hadn’t seen the PBO thread.

I think I will ring them as I can’t see where I can add to my current licence. The ‘my licences’ section just says you have no licences !

It might not be in the system if your licence is really old. Anyway, ringing them should get it resolved, they are surprisingly helpful.

Thanks, it’s v old (first registered it in 2001) so that probably explains it.
