Applied a month ago to register my boat electronics.

Sorted all through Ofcom but I've not received my mmsi yet. How long does it take?

TA

I had the same query as the OP as I am sure Ofcom said that the licence would be posted. On logging in this morning I found the licence has been there since the day after I applied. I could only print off the first 2 pages though.

The MMSI number is automatically issued if you included, or subsequently add, a DSC radio .

It appears on the licence, or amended licence, which you can then print.

Only the first two pages are personalised to you or your boat - there is a generic multipage document somewhere on the web site that forms the bulk of the licence terms and conditions - you are supposed to read a copy of that sometime!

My understanding is that those other pages form part of the licence and should be also printed and kept with the front two pages on the vessel .

Originally when you viewed and printed the licence you got all 12 pages without further ado

I'm dont know if the reduction to just the two pages is deliberate or due to a Gremlin but if I view my "T" number licence I still get all the pages so probably a gremlin.

Whichever the terms and conditions that form the other pages can be viewed and printed using the the menu on the LHS of the screen.

I found it useful to print doubled sided and A5 to reduce the quantity of paper. The A5 pages can be kept in a resealable plastic bag.

Good thought about the plastic bag.
