If you have a DSC vhf unit and told Offcom of it they should have issued you with an MMSI No.
Have you told them its a DSC? or is it not? if not DSC you wont have/need an MMSI No.

See my DSC and MMSI thread .... above.
I have non-DSC radio licence and needed a change to DSC. I tried as some posted here and another site, by online amend licence facility. It rejected all attempts. I called Ofcom - as I've had to do with virtually all other things wanted to do with licence ! The guy was really good and he tried it as well. It rejected his attempts as well.
The problem was that adding a DSC radio - there's a box that asks for the MMSI number - if you don't have one - it doesn't allow you to continue, it just red flags it.
Finally the guy had to create a New Licence and we cancelled the old. That way it automatically generated the MMSI number. So to do it yourself ? I don't know - cause Ofcom operator had to do it !
Only drawback so far - the new licence failed to carry over my Call-sign. I called them again and asked why no Call Sign on the Licence. They checked and confirmed my Call Sign was still valid, but agreed that a glitch had failed to list it on the Licence document. They are now waiting for maintenance on the web-site to complete and they will correct my document.
So there you are ... a 10 minute phone call will sort it. They will want you to be logged onto your licence details while sorting so you can save each change ... cancel old licence etc.
Now if after maintenance the site works properly for this ? hopefully you can save the cost of the phone call !!
Oh - the amendment like the licence itself was free of charge. Somone told me it would cost 20 quid .... not true.
I simply hammered at the website, realised the Ofcom website was braindead, sent an email to them, and got a new licence PDF file back by return of email complete with MMSI.
