MMSI How Can I get?

once you have the mmsi you'll need to get it programmed into the set (also epirb etc) which may be done by a dealer or a return to factory. when i bought my icom dsc i had to specify the mmsi before the chandler could order it from icom. of course it's possible they may have seen sense and allowed user programming by now. good luck.

They actually seem to have become almost sensible as regards the VHF sets as both NASA and XM are user programmable. But with the XM DSC you only get one attempt. Then it is back to the factory to open it up again.
Perhaps it's agood idea if the set gets stolen.

Btw the Muirton basin in the canal is currently tidal as all the locks from there, to and including, the sea lock will remain open till well into the spring. All the boats have been moved and the pontoons sit at various crazy angles depending on the tidal state.
