Mixing different brands of engine oilok?

Our engine uses 15W40 mineral oil classified API CF.

I couldnt get the usual brand so changed to another brand with the same spec.

I now have enough left over for another oil change if I mix the two .

Can any harm occur?

In general no harm. It is a condition of the specification that all will mix together without reaction. The additive packages between manufacturers may well differ, in which case there may some dilution but this is unlikely to do damage.

Its fine ..... as long as specs are similar ... its good to go.
