Mixing Antifouling

Bought antifouling which was dark blue. As I could not find a lighter colour, can I mix white antifouling of the same brand to the blue colour?

If it is the same make and type, then yes no problem, though you might want to keep some for touch ups.

for example International (make) Micron Extra 2 (type) blue and International Micron Extra 2 dove white should be fine to mix. But not necessarily Micron Extra 2 and International Cruiser Uno for instance. But it's always best to confirm with the maker's tech helpdesk. It could be a costly error.

Out of curiosity, why the hangup. The AF is underwater who really is that concerned about hue?

I refer to the make as the manufacturer eg. International (the brand) and the type as the product eg. Micron. I would not mix Micron with Interspersed for example.

Last season used white AF paint and had a lot of issues with growth. Some told me that darker colours attract less growth, and since I do not like darker colours, I opted for a different colour (at least I will know where I painted. No big deal about colours

You mean you wish to overcoat an old AF rather than mix? Same rules really apply. Best to speak to the tech help desk if a different type. I needed to put a base / primer coat on first before changing type.
