After some months of frustration trying to get my FS LooxN520 to cooperate with Memory Map chartware, I've given up with it.

Now I've got a Mio P550 which has TomTom installed- I didn't seek this, it's a bonus, but the windscreen suction mount has a non-flexible 6" shaft and suction cup, and a rotating cradle cup but this setup doesn't suit my screen/dashboard.

I can't figure out why Mitac would manufacture a rigid shaft for an angled screen but they do. What I want is a completely flexible shaft with a rotatable cup.

I've tried Mitac but no go. I've also tried RAM Mounts- they have the right idea but they don't do a cradle for the P550, only the Mio 338,(on which subject I am awaiting Mitac's response as to whether the P550 fits the 338 cradle). I've also tried Memory-Map but they don't really have a product which is guaranteed to suit.

So, the question is- Has any forumite got a Mio P550 with a fully flexible gooseneck shaft and rotating cradle cup and if so where do I get one?

Excuse me- on reflection this is probably more suited to The Lounge

problem solved- the allegedly solid "flex" Mitac arm/suction cap can, in fact, be bent when considerable force is applied to it- it seems all wrong but hasn't snapped so far and as long as one doesn't need intricate tight bends it will do the job(for me)
