Too right. I find it absolutely appaling that people believe they can set off on an ill-prepared transatlatic crossing thinking: no worries, if it all goes wrong I can just scoff a couple of the kids. The RYA should ensure this is covered by the YM Ocean syllabus.

I don't think I could eat a whole child, some bits are offal.

I really had thought that this thread had been long since been put to bed.
Perhaps it should be again, before someone starts counting his kids just as they start playing hide & seek.
