Missing Dolphins

We've just finished a 6 week cruise from Chichester to Falmouth and back and didn't see one dolphin. Were we just unlucky or are they now getting fewer and fewer?

We watch a pod of dolphins feeding most days from the house. When the dolphins aren't there the porpoises usually move in.

We were joined briefly by a family group of 5 or 6 off Christchurch Ledges whilst sailing Poole to Solent just recently.

They're getting sick of all the social media paparazzi/sailing channels so they started hiding

Today I had a family of a dozen come for a look-see about 5 miles W of Portland Bill, then shortly afterwards a pair of large adults joined me, and escorted me almost right across Lyme Bay. I think today was my 14th crossing and I've seen dolphins every time.
