missing bildge keel

how was it attached to the hull ? Usually it's a flange, bolted through the hull (which is pretty substantial, unlike modern AWBs).

Any sign of breakage, or was it just glassed on ?

There's an active CW owners page on yahoo
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cwowners/join

They have lots of tech info, and people who have installed bilge keels.

have you noticed the performance suffer?

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Isn't the Watson a long keel with bilge plates to hold it up when the tide goes out. If so, the performance will have improved due to reduced drag.

Unless you make a habit of drying out, why not just take off the other one & chuck it away?

This sort of thing?
