missing bildge keel

just lifted my 23ftcolvic watson to power wash only to discover a bildge plate missing any suggestion on how to replace

how was it attached to the hull ? Usually it's a flange, bolted through the hull (which is pretty substantial, unlike modern AWBs).

Any sign of breakage, or was it just glassed on ?

Do you dry out in the mud ?, I had to go looking for my dads bilge plate in the river and found it. Lifted it onto dinghy and towed ashore.

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Isn't the Watson a long keel with bilge plates to hold it up when the tide goes out. If so, the performance will have improved due to reduced drag.

Unless you make a habit of drying out, why not just take off the other one & chuck it away?
