a frend of mine would like to try sailing . a dead or almost dead one would be good he likes diy and im helping him
thanks olly

There are usually loads on eBay
I only find two at the moment and that includes a West 11.

I know where there is a very good one .... keep watching one day I'll have to sell it. :(

Beware old mirrors made from inferior ply which has become brittle. They will continue to sail very well up until they make contact with something solid, when instead of giving and absorbing the impact, they will split.

Beware old mirrors made from inferior ply
All, apart from recent ones, were made from kits supplied by Bell Woodworking weren't they. So the implication is that Bell supplied inferior ply? So they are all going to be the same?

BTW All parts for Mirrors can be obtained from TRIDENT-UK But they are not cheap

Yes Gaffers, but even doing it all yourself, it will still cost much more than an unloved one off e-bay . He should also try asking around the sailing clubs, there might be others going cheap. Unless he is stuck on a Mirror. Things like 320s get slow after a few years and lose their appeal to racers. erg, go cheap.

I am currently looking for a home for my little 3.2 mtr dinghy. Gunter rig, came from SA, no known make. But gave me a lot of fun for several years. But I am a bit far from most of you.
