Mirror dinghy under bermudan rig?

Am I deceived in this photo, by the misleading use of very little crew-members? The boat looks 30% bigger than any Mirror I've seen before:

Well, when we first got ours, I was 7 and my brother was 5 and my dad took both of us out. He's not tall but not skinny either, and I was always big for my age.

After a year or two it was just me and my brother, though, or sometimes just me.

Actually, I did once take a friend of my dad's as crew, who I think had previously shared your scorn at the humble Mirror's speed and supposed stodginess. He found it really exciting and came back marvelling at how wrong he'd been :)

My friend is plotting to buy one to teach his nephew to sail so I'll be interested to see how he fits in it!

Spot on with both points. In fact allowing people to switch between rigs during events and racing the different rigs in the same race, has totally revitalised Laser sailing here in the NW.

Things might have changed since I last raced Lasers, but back then changing rigs during events or a series of races wasn't permitted.
