I was asked by some members to keep them updated about Mirabella V's arrival in Portsmouth. She is currently in sight of the Isle of Wight and should be anchored off Portsmouth soon (no anchor jokes please, I have heard them all). She will probably enter the yard tomorrow afternoon.

She is expected to be in Portsmouth for around 6-8 weeks, and should be in the Caribbean (BVI) by year end. She came up from La Ciotat on her own, and the trip went very well.

Some of you may have noticed that this is my first posting by me, as me. So I thought I would explain my thoughts about posting on this forum.

I have always enjoyed boats and boating, and not necessarily just the big variety. This is a good place to exercise that interest. I would have preferred to be anonymous. However, due to certain recent events anonymity is no longer an option, and it's 100% my fault. I am not coming back to take or give any abuse. I am coming back because following the sting, I actually met some nice people through this forum, and I think there may be more like them out there.

I have access to some unique information about certain boats, specifically the Mirabellas, which I can make available to other forum members, which may be seen as useful. I will probably not be much use in most other areas. I really hope that members will treat me like anyone else, and I expect no special treatment.

There may be certain subjects that I simply cannot discuss, simply because of who I am. In these cases I will simply tell you that I can't answer and hopefully we can move on. If we really get stuck on a topic, I suggest one or two Fosters at the PoW may solve the problem

OK JOe. But exactly who are you?

<hr width=100% size=1>this post is a personal opinion, and you should not base your actions on it.

Joe

Great to hear from you. I am sure you will also be able to comment on some subjects from the position of blissful ignorance, same as everyone else.

Also, you are tempting fate by saying that if we get stuck on a subject we meet up at the PoW. I foresee that we are all going to get stuck on quite a few subjects. Hopefully this will mean I can buy you that beer I owe you from the last visit.

Re: JoeV

JoeV owns MirabellaV. Well, okay, his Dad does.

Anyway, he is quite wrong about one or two Fosters solving all problems, as i believe it would take at least three to lose track of what we were talking about, and after about four or five some wimmin turn up and drag everyone away.

Good to have you on board Joe, I hope Mirabella's visit to Portsmouth is smooth and that she is back out sailing soon.

Cheers

Stephen

Glad you are back .... and that Mirabella V has made good progress. Looking forward to her getting back to France, guess next Spring/Summer now.

Do have to question your judgement about the 'nice people' you have met though. -:)

Good Luck and keep posting.

Welcome back as you, be a normal forum poster, So you can enjoy the banter, offer useless advise, tell tall storeys, rant about anything bugging you, argue that pies are better than Bridie's, whiskey not wine should be carried on boats for medicinal purposes, [ Oh not had that one yet] Just enjoy /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
