Had a viewing on the boat yesterday, on the way back to lock had a mink follow me from J to N pontoons in CBYC, hadn't seen one for years and never down this way.

Cheers

I once spoke to a gent in CYC with a black bin bag early one morning and it seems he goes around the club shooting them with and air gun,he had 5 dead ones in the bag,

Also a while back a mate of mine had a family of them living on his Folkboat in CYC(rent free).

I think the story goes that they were liberated back into the wild from Mink farms a while back by the animal rights people and now they are flourishing and living off the local wildlife.

You get one (or a family) onboard and they make a stinking mess.
Just ask around us on the pontoon.
I'll bring my air-rifle down just in case it thinks "we" are its new home.

PS not cull - that means to thin out. KILL ALL is what's needed.

That's right. We have a contract with a professional services firm who set special mink cages around the marina who then remove them (within the framework of the law). Without risking abuse I do not see what is wrong with making them into coats.

Warm underwear could be a popular seller and no one would need to know.:D

mink are nasty little beggars. They get a form of enteritis which affects other animals such as cats and dogs, and something like distemper.

You need a licence under the Destructive Imported Animals Act 1932 to keep mink. Once trapped, they must be killed.

mink

Had a mink living on my boat in Oldbury Pill.
Brought a fish on board to eat later.I didnt discover it for 3 weeks
In August.

I've seen them in CYC a few times in the summer, we were chasing after them as they were running up and down the pontoons :D, quite funny, but they are nasty pieces of work though

They are what they call an invasive species.

They are so violent they destroy the natural inhabitants of our rivers.

Also make a terrible mess of boats if they get into them.

We have destroyed several in SYSAC marina.

Ironical though as humanity thought they would serve our ladies well!!

Who is the total clot!!
