Mini oil leak on KAD 44

See pic, guess not even a teaspoon per hour, any idea which bit might be seeping
been there for at least a year, not getting worse, yet

Get everything clean, get a torch out and have a good look about for the oil tracks

Similar thing, an oil breather pipe was the culprit, it was pointing downwards rather than upwards

Tnx oil cooler, I’ll have a look at the diagrams and get the torch out

rocker off 3 months ago for tappets, bilge has never been this clean in my ownership (pink stuff excellent) blue roll (used for leak detection) now sliding about and not sticking to the floor any more ? (steering pin was leaking, seal replaced, there is now proper resistance when greasing)

Front seal is quite common and can usually be replaced in the boat depending on access.

less trouble/cheaper to fix than some apparently less complicated problems .
Cost around £12 from ebay or £40.00 from VP.

wiped the bottom nuts on the oil pan, 3 had a drip hanging from them
ran the kad for another hour, oil drip not returned yet, gonna call that a micro drip now

thats what you get with a clean bilge and a bilge cam .....
