Mini Globe Race.

Just seen that Eric Marsh on Sunbear went over board. Really good thing he was tethered, even so getting back onto a boat that is moving while single hand is hard.

Some rather complicated rudderish arrangements out the back, with a couple of retractable vane thingies (which may not be steerable?) as well as the main transome-hung rudder, a self steerer with 2 windvanes (?) and perhaps an (electric?) outboard.

Just as well the stern isn't narrower. I dont think I would have room

Big grumbling in the race at the moment, some entrants getting all foot stampy.

Basically, the helpful weather meant there were going to be early arrivals in Cape Town. The berths are booked from 1st December and the marina won't admit early birds. So pit stops have been introduced to slow them down. This has caused big upsets with some entrants complaining a lot. Personally I think they should accept it, but I haven't been at sea for many months in a little boat....
