Not sure if this has been posted?
A Mini 6.50 (Pogo2) participating to the class-mini race UKSolent has ran aground near Plymouth (Bovisand beach ?). An RIB has been sent by the insurer to recover the boat, but it capsized too.
The guy tells he sent a mayday from the VHF (I suppose a DSC one) but the position the CG received was not correct, the RNLI asked him to fire three parachute flares to locate him, which they promptly did.
The boat has been stripped of everything during the night, they say they had to use the wooden plugs to plug the holes on the hull as the tranducers had been stolen too.
A few videos here (one from the RNLI RIB too):

I think it's a big, big luck no one has died, it looks like a few people on the recovery RIB did not wear a lifejacket ?
