More great exploits from Roger Taylor, single-handed aboard MingMing, his 21ft junk rigged Corribee. A follow on from Voyages of a Simple Sailor, this edition covers three voyages 1) a circumnav of the UK - but a bit further than the average, 2) the Azores and back in the Jester Challenge 2008, and 3) a circumnavigation of Iceland - including an excursion above the Artic Circle round Jan Mayen... all in a Corribee.

All excellently written up giving some great insights into what Roger Taylor appears to do best - minimalist, single-handed, ocean going voyages. Well worth a read.

A lovely read. Witty and self-effacing. You really have to respect Roger Taylor for his seamanlike approach and the fact that he cruises such a small boat by choice. He is one of the few really following in the wake of Blondie Hasler and Jester.

Just finished reading it, I could not put it down, what an amazing guy, no frills just good seamanship. Would heartily reccomend to everybody, a great account of what can be achieved with a small budget, a small boat and thorough planning.

Enjoyed both books and met Roger when he came to talk at our Winter Dinner. A great speaker and great photo show too

I'd agree. He talked at our club this winter - very good indeed.

And his books are really the most gripping single hander sailing books I've ever read. (Let's be honest, a large minority of single handed sailing books suffer badly from the lack of human interaction.)
