Minding my own business

I see that the Major is starting with quality wood furniture. I am begining to suspect that he secretly wants a quality woodie like Tom's.

Major, I don't know if you've ever had a woodie, but once you get one there is no turning back. You've beaten Tom to the ground about his "woodpile" and I think you should take a fresh look at the effort he puts in to have such a grand craft. You might want to lift his heart a little during these days a trial and tribulation. Next time you see Tom just say Tom, you have a lovely woodie. I wish I had one as nice as yours." It just suspect it will bring a smile to his face.

Bernie

Hmm. I'm starting to worry about you and Tom, as he mentioned you and woodies in the same breath yesterday. We even tried to get you on Skype last night.

This morning Tom is sat on Little Ship and while there is a nice breeze in the Strait, within the dock it is lovely and calm, with a light dusting of snow.

Hopefully he will be able to get Little Ship into the marina shed today.

Yea but when he starts rubbing it with a cloth it grows again :D

This is getting quite disgusting and not what I expect on my thread. I saw Tom earlier and he was busily painting, although he did spill a few drops.

Only a few minutes ago I am told he is touching cloth again. He must have spilt some more.

they sound like they know how to have a good time.

It's the booze. We just sit here drinking and watching Kawasaki knocking off the tops of rocks, Mucky Farter creating localised fog banks and Tom's endless fettling on Little Ship, which he swears blind is better than fibre glass.

Then there's the Philz menagerie, Searush's Santa Claus impersonations, Kilter's insightful posts - his gorgeous wife helps :o - and all the other North Walians who post, drift past or stop to have a rummage in any available drinks cabinet, and I don't just mean just Old Salt.

Even Lawsey was down here over the winter, camping out in a motor home in the boat park.

As for me, I'm the normal one and this Easter I am sitting here working, but at least I can keep an eye on the comings and goings by looking out of the window.

Oh, I may move the boat back into the council estate over the weekend, which may, or may not, involve a quick squirt to The Swellies and back.

The most interesting thing about this thread is that 1,177 of us have read a private conversation which means nothing to anybody but the Menai gang! curious.

It's a throw back to what Mobo used to be. Fun, laughter, folk getting to gether, in there hundreds some times. Parties and get togethers. Folk used to travel hundreds of miles by car, train or sea for a Mobo party.

Big parties in London and some in the Solent, smaller ones other places, all around the country and even abroad. All gone now though. Except a bit in wales.

Folk used to buy flags and thought it great to be a member of a great forum, now they just want it to be the right colour and style for their boat.

Kinnel, that's a Larf:D
