We have owned an 18' double ended gunter rigged sailing boat from Millers for a few decades. Despite living relatively close to this yard we have never seen a similar boat. She is larch on oak clinker construction with 3/4 decking and a raised gunwhale. She was built for my Grandfather in the 30s. Very obvious scottish sailing fishing boat lines, closer to a Skaffie than a Fifie. I love the Miller's motor sailers but I was wondering if anyone has come accross smaller sailing boats built by the yard?

If you haven't come across this site, the author may help tracking down kindred Millers owners.

In my search for a Fifer I recently came across a 7m open boat. If you go to Yachtworld.com and type in Miller as a search word just about the last on the list will be this boat, lying in Dartmouth. A bit larger than yours but perhaps similar.

Thank you forbsie. I have contacted John Cunningham through the website you suggested and he is referring me on to one of his cousins who was the company secretary.

Excellent, I wish you luck.

Why don't you put up a few pictures of your boat on MoBoChat Boatone's site on Boats on the Web and if you get a few more owners you can set up a discussion group.
