I need to know all there is to know about Boating in Milford Haven....
i.e. mooring, tides, places to go, places not to go, markers, currents, places to eat, chandllery, beaches, etc .etc..... how to speak Welsh (well maybe not quite that far but....)
Does anyone have boat in Milford or Neyland?? or live close ??

Only know. That we went there once. And son said it was orible. So filled tankes up in Neyland at 4PM and headed for Padsow. But shit hit fan and finished up in Swansea. Maybe picked a bad day but!!!!

I didn't say Milford was orrible. My son did. I just tend the agree with him. Mind you it was raining at the time. And I never said a thing about Swansea. It's Ok. But much better on South Devon/Cornwall Coast. All IMHO of course.

I was lept all over by a mate in Lagos, for saying Milford was bad, only ever got as far as dale flats, to anchor, thats OK. But he said theres lot to see and do further up the river/inlet after the tanker terminals, good cruising and pubs and things. Never been! So I deserved a drubbing! At least you're talking from experience!
 
Well We went up the river quite away. Stopped at some sort of boat yard for a while. But every where seemed shut. Then went to Neyland marina and went for a pint in the club house. It was like being in aunty Floes cafe. Son couldn't stand to spend the night there and I dont blame him. Might be better with the tide in and sunshine. But we were very disapointed after hearing how good it was. Think you need to be a bird watcher. Or Fuel tanker and pipe line watcher at least!!

I've see enough tankers, pipelines and oil to last me a lifetime! The smell of crude oil will never leave my nostrils! All most people ever smelkl at a refinery is the gas, crude oil is very, very nasty smelling stuff.
