I wonder if anyone has any ideas - I am looking for somewhere to park my 7.7M twin keel boat for July and August, would be happy either afloat or lifted out and ashore, I will enquire with Milford Marina but am expecting this to be perhaps the least cheapest option... perhaps there are some small yards or sailing clubs around? Thanks for any suggestions.

Never been or used them but you could try East Llanion Boat Yard, google reviews look good and sounds "affordable".

My son has his boat at East Llanion and have been in and out there with him. It's the cheapest option for being ashore. The approach requires half tide or more. It's an old fashioned yard with loos, a canvas workshop and not much else.
An alternative would be Rudders Boatyard on the same side Milford Haven but further upstream. There are deep water moorings there too.

Rudders and Lawrenny yacht station both have commercial moorings to rent.

Agree that Vance at Llanion would be your best bet if you want to be ashore (easiest / cheapest) has a travel hoist.
Both the others can lift and store as well

You'll have to do your own sums on relative costs

I had my boat for many years at a mooring in Lawrenny; Contact Sue or Brian at Lawrenny Yacht Station. Alternative try Rudders Boat Yard; both have deep water moorings. Nice sailing area and a few pubs with moorings along the river

Thank you all for the great tips and info, I'll make a couple of calls & from what's been said above I think maybe ashore at Llanion Yard might be just ideal for my needs this summer... thanks for sharing your local knowledge chaps, if you ever want similar on Poole Harbour I'll be happy to return the favour. P

Does anyone know if the yard at Garron Pill is still in operation?

I used them a few years ago and they were very good to deal with, cheap to lift and store. I have also used Rudder Boatyard swinging moorings that were OK and about the same price then but where we were was a lot of aggresive buoy rubbing at certain states of the tide.
There are moorings up at Lawrenny bbut when I tried to deal them they seemed distinctly unhelpful.

Cheers C08 and all.
As East Llanion have been praised and recommended and offer just what I need I'll follow the kind advice - thanks all. Phil.

Phildorset, whilst you are there if you need any work done talk to Ryan RSJ Marine, e’s very good and helpful, and Vance is brilliant with lifting etc.
