So boat finally back in water. Weekend spent putting sails back on, running up engine, but came to test the heater and no joy.

On the fan cycle it will run up with two green lights on the control panel, no problems. However, try to put in on the heating setting, it will run up, then fan will accelerate and there is the clicking as thought it is trying to ignite, but nothing. No lights are displayed on the control panel at all whilst on the heating setting. Does this sound like the glow plug gone. Didn't have time to strip it down before I left and that will be next weekends job.

Any thoughts or guidance appreciated.

Cheers

Have a look at the control box fault code led flashes, count them and it will give a good place to start, could be a number of issues from the described symptoms. Fuel, glowplug, electrical, though when a glowplug goes it often blows the big fuse and stops it working altogether.
