Hi All
I had a Mikuni diesel air heater installed in November and am very happy with it! I live aboard and there fore it has been running about 6 hors daily and 24 hours occasionally at weekends, It has run faultlessly since it was fitted by Mikuni in Southampton, It is an MY30. When should it need to be serviced?

Thanks

J

send back to Mikuni Soton for service, mine was returned within 2 weeks, they tend to "batch" service same models

As Steve fitted it the burn rate and other stuff will have been correctly adjusted in situ so it will almost certainly go longer than most before it needs a service, however I would suggest you wait until summer as then your anual service will come around at a time it's less needed and it will be more likely to see you through the winter without issue. Keep a spare glow plug and learn how to fit it (very simple) as the wire wound type Mikuni still use are more prone to failure than ceramic ones, also a lot cheaper.

gotta link pls
these things are so over priced

A quick google of Beru GH408 will bring up a selection, but local motor factors tend to be good on them in the range I quoted, I hardly sell any eccept when I fit them any more as most DIY customers buy from those sources. But, even at full price they are far from expensive when compared to the other three main players.

Edit: Also look for Durite 0-131-70
