Mike Perham Tide 28

Young Mike is doing 9 knots now approaching the Cape Verde Islands.And its 28° there.presumably Dads boat is near by.

Our recycling box did about 9 knots up the street again this morning. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The Tide 28s are doing some impressive average speeds.

Despite my reservations about this trip I have to take my hat off to him now he's out there doing it.

If you zoom in a bit you'll see dads boat slightly ahead just passing Sao Vicente. Agree that they are doing well so far, have been following progress

Looks like he is now in Sao Vincente. Boat speed now 0.0 kts.

Has done the 950 miles from the Canaries in 9 days so averaging about 4.5 kts. Quite reasonable for a 28'

Would be good to have a bit more info about the boats and gear
