Microplus Owners Club

40 years ago my dad bought an 18 ft circa microplus. we fished in lough neigh, we grew up and learnt to ski. we had a ball. That was where the seed was planted for my love of boating (Sentimental ain't I). 30 years ago I passed my driving test and without my dad knowing knicked the boat and went for a run. He found out due to the fact that the hatch cover was missing. Dispite being a very strict father he just smiled cos he knew I was hooked. Dad is 87 years old now and loves to come out in my boat.
His micro plus is sitting in my garage it hasn't seen the light of day since Dad had a heart wobble 20 years ago.
Sorry if I am on a rant but Microplus holds loads of memories. I genuinely could write a book. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif meaby some day I will find a trailer, an engine (short shaft if my memory is right) and take Dad out for a run at dusk.
Now if you scuse me I have another bottle of wine to finish
