I've stayed in the Delano a couple of times - South Beach http://www.delano-hotel.com/en-us/#/home/ It's a Morgans group hotel - great design and a nice pool / beach area. Cheers, M

We tend to stay in suites hotels, and Homewood Suites is our choice if available. Gives you a separate bedroom, and a decent fridge etc. An airboat ride on the Everglades is a great experience. We actually prefer Ft Lauderdale to Miami, more laid back and less threatening. The Keys is Ok, but a it corny/seedy in some respects.
