There is a radio ship up the Blackwater called the Mi Amigo, which I have always understood was used as Radio Caroline

To day I was in Harwich and tied up next to H'penny pier was a lightship also named Mi Amigo, and looked like a ship used for radio transmission.

So which was Radio Caroline or were there several ships, each being called Mi Amigo in turn?

The Mi Amigo's marked on the chart, on the Sunk I believe?
She went down in a gale while broadcasting Radio Caroline.

The one in the Blackwater is the Ross Revenge, a massive German side trawler which was the most famous Caroline ship. She went on the Maplins (?) in a gale and had her bottom plating damaged, still being kept afloat by a bunch of enthusiasts, fair play to them.

The LV18 has been done out as a pirate radio ship museum, with old things, she's well worth a visit!
