Metals used in a Centaur mast step

I've always liked them as well... Lord help me...

all I can say is that the fact that I am going to buy another Centaur is a pretty good commendation.

I am hard on my gear - they can take it. As Roger says at the end of this film

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djp-D5s-sik

and we averaged 4.1 knots over a six/five night trip - only about five hours of motoring - that is not bad at all

- they just put their shoulder into the waves and shove their way through. The accommodation in 26 foot is astonishing. Loads of second hand gear available as well.

They sail remarkably well and do not fall over when the water goes away

They are fine boats.

I've never owned one but when I was looking for my first boat, an experienced colleague when asked what I should get said "Centaur" without a moments hesitation. Trouble is, I don't like the longitudinal galley or dinette layout so bought a Mirage 28 instead.

these are small things when compared to the overall magnificence that is the Westerly Centaur
