I'm going to use 2X "T" Bolt clamps on all underwater fittings. anyway. But I really don"t want to hacksaw clamps off because the screws have rusted.

Whislt I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem with those clamps (providing you didn't buy them in the £1 shop) you could always add a lubricant to the threads. Look af something like a chain lube for the mountain bike market.

I've used this one for its intended purpose, ridden through rivers, streams and other harsh environments.
