Booked a little holiday let on the Fowey and took my 17 foot bow rider down from Suffolk. Over a 10 hour drive but the weather today made it all worth it.

Below is a screenshot from Navionics of our track today most of it at 25 knots. Anchored of Gribbin head for lunch and some fishing

Hope weather is as good tomorrow

If you are into your music have a tootle up the river and locate Sawmills studios , google them and you'll see a long list of clients including Stone Roses, Oasis , Robert Plant , and many more . It's a real piece of UK music history , and if music is not your thing it's still a great journey

And call into Galant, go under the small railway bridge to the Fishermans Arms. Another memorable afternoon there watching the tide come in and cover the road in front of the pub.

a trip round the corner to Polkerris beach and lunch at Sams on the beach is also a great trip. Sandy harbour to pull up onto is no problem at all tides.

Thanks for all the advice. Had another lovely day out today. Track of trip attached. I rather like Navionics that lets you do this.

Cannis rock is one to look out for at high water as it is submerged. I suspect in its history it has sunk a few
