Did Jonathon Woss phone this in or something equally daft?

Nice wind up /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif (err Troll) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Its not a wind up.
GC1 phoned me 1/11 with an exact price of 40/60 fuel at the pontoon.
He often reads the forum but can not post.
If you cast your mind back to when the red issue was actually lost 2007 ?? it was GC1 that got a letter from EU minister or C&E ? and I posted it here on his behalf so we could go to France with red in our tanks.

GC1 has always looked after forums interests .

If clots didn't target him to wind him up he would be the most valuable contributor.

The weird thing is those that target him then complain the most /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

For whatever reasons, he seems to have a chip on his shoulder the size of France relating to "yacht club commodore types", whatever they are. Rolling around laughing as you post your latest wind up thread is fine, up to a point, but then things go past that point, and chaos / upset is the result, time after time.

What would you do if you were a pub landlord, and one particular customer keeps starting fights which result in the place being smashed up and your other customers leaving?

Nothing got broke, in fact the forum was more popular, If I owned a disco bar that was packed out with lively 18-30 years olds would I be too upset if a few wrinklies left because the music was too loud that make 1/2 pint last an hour anyway ..........dificult choice /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Anyway I dont really want to push my luck here, the forum has voted in favour of asking GC1 back.

I will ask him and see what his reaction is.

If he is happy to come back we can then ask the moderators and debate in full then.

Nope, I'm not talking about the loud music, I'm talking about the fight at the end of the evening. The one where people take sides, say unkind words about each other, leave, and don't ever come back.

I very much doubt that the moderators will allow him back, unless he can somehow demonstrate that the original personality has been replaced.

I think the forum was more popular with GC1 for the wrong reasons, it was certainly very amusing to watch all the bust ups, but a bit sick really. I did enjoy a lot of his posts about choosing boats and chandlery, I don't know whether we were laughing at him or with him sometimes. I've never met him but have spoken to people who have and he sounds like a friendly chap. However he just couldn't help himself from starting a windup and just got too carried away, the ban(s) were completely justified.

Having meet GC1 on a number of occasions both in this country and abroad if push came to shove and there was a fight at the disco I would be right behind him.

Why? He was banned 3 or even 4 times from this forum, the last time for posting an offensive photo. He's been banned from Ribnet and, probably, other forums too although I can't be sure. He's broken forum rules by returning on several occasions under different user names. A leopard doesn't change his spots
In any case anyone that wants to converse with him now has their own forum on which to do it (until he's banned from there too) so why is there any need to bring him back here?

What an unforgiving bunch some of you are. His posts had me in stitches. The bit of jumbo jet, the photographic equipment, the toaster, risk assessments.....Time to forgive and forget. Who amongst the "antis" can honestly say they didn't try to wind him up on occasion? You can always put him on ignore ....She runs for cover.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No need to run for cover we are all friends here /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
GC1 is the King of Wind up,in fact He's done more than Trevor
Bayliss
cheers Joe

You mean it never happened...

Just like the holocaust! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sorry but I always enjoyed his posts and judging by the number of people that read them, so did quite a few others.

FWIW, He should be invited back and only banned if he offends people directly, wind-ups can always be 'ignored' by those too sensitive.

Then again, I can't remember what finally got him banned, guess I must have missed that one. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I DID have the misfortune to see what got him banned.

A post on Armistice day which showed a photograph of a man with his brain blown out with a (US?) soldier stood over him as if he were a trophy killing.

If posting something like that is your idea of a "Wind Up" then all well and good but I consider it sick.

Blimey even when he is not here he gets people debating over........GCI

We have all risen to the bait. Must be cos its the quiet season :~)
