Went out on next doors brand new boat today. He's a newbie. His observations, not mine, he was driving. Four up top is a definate ne no. Two, umm maybe if it's flat. It's good at going backwards, but dont like going forwards to fast.

Like I said, was not driving so could not get a feel. The sea was quite rough, but not horendus. Waves over the top at quite slowish speeds, then leaning over at horrific angles, mind hat was with four up top, so sent two down. Expected it to do much better once sea was behind, but it was trying to broach, sujested faster, but then it looked a bit hairy after about 15k. Dunno, was not driving and him a novice. Yep it's smaller and lighter than mine.

Can the panel advise, I was frankly disapointed. But was it boat or handling.?? Or was I expecting to much.

Missed You!
Twas a bit choppy.
Anyway.
Totally different than Yours Mate.
I know it's difficult cos You didn't get to Helm.

Don't forget the Guy is a complete newb.

Single shaft Semi Displacenet, will feel to be broaching if throttle and helm control are not balanced.
Were you out on the Afternoon tide?
Sorry EDIT, this mornings was early, daft question!
It was rougher this A.M!

They do get a bit wet in short choppy stuff going ahead.

Don't think He has trim tabs.
I think the MF needs them.

Out tommorow from Deganwy at 07.00 hours.
Shall I give you an Alarm call.?
Is Your neighbour about tommorow PM?
I will be finished with My peeps Midday.

Will then pop to Conwy to nick the keys of 'Another Forumites'boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's got trim tabs and seemed to be in the right places. I thought ir could easily have handled the down sea leg, but seemed all over the place. Maybe helmsman to slow to react. Thort we were all going to fall off the side at one point!!

He's out tomorrow about 8.30 am. Us a bit later if up in time. Said he was going to Landudnonono, if sea looked ok. Back for the tide and lock I think. Dunno about us. Maybe just get out of jail, then poodle about, or go up the Straits. Maybe meet up with next door first. Dunno.

Your grp has soaked up that much water over the years that it sits so low in the water it acts like a displacement boat, when did you last do 15knt as a comparison?

Don't know about the 925 as we straddled that one with an 805 and then a 36, 805 not so good in a following sea (no tabs on ours) 36 seams to handle most conditions, we have been out in a force 9, and although very hairy, felt quite secure. The reports I have seen on the seakeeping abilities of the Jeanneau hull designs are complementary, although, like you, I am biased!

Twat, still bombs along at 24k if I want. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Never expected Mucky Farter sort of sea handling. But this did not like going into the sea and with it behind, was equally frightening.

[/ QUOTE ] Have you thort about moving back to an area where you can pronounce and spell where you are going to?

Mind you, I have problems and was lucky to find my way to to Porth Dinithalin, Dinniiatholin, Dinnywatsit and then Kwaka tells me to go the Llandywin, Llanddwhen, Llanddly-i-de-oh Island.

I am praying the next forum meet isn't Bwlchtocyn.

Well even the welsh have enough of their own names - preferring Llanfair PG to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

good job they didnt have a harbour or marina /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, at least they spoke proper down there and were no where near as thick as this lot. Imagine doing 70mph down the big duel carriageway and there's a big flashing warning sign.

It says ABERGOFART ZOOGROGGENBOTTOM GOGOGO. Now if your very lucky, after you have read all that. Underneath it says. Men Working In Road!!!

Anyway Kwackers says he's coming down around breakfast time tomorrow. I hope he brings his pajamas.

He wants rock hoping leasons for Cornwall and a book of instructions, oh and a map or two.

Just to give you an idea. Went to a cafe today in Lllanlyfairfeckyeran. The bins and other crap were looking out to sea and the chairs and tables looked over the car park. A canny idea, so your car does not get nicked.

Yep. but looking at the cars, \i think they bought them from Liverpool!!

[/ QUOTE ] It's well known that the suburbs of Liverpool end at Conwy. After that its Welsh, boyo, and all are speaking Welsh.

It always gets me that I go to a shop near Port Dinorwic and the old lady behind the counter is going ten to the dozen in Welsh with all and sundry, then looks up at me and asks, "Can I help you dear?"

Maybe I don't look very Welsh.

I've studied Kawasaki quite closely - involuntarily I should add - and I can't can't say he looks much different to anyone else. Yes, his eyes are too close together but I put that down to squinting at engines all day.
