Merry Fisher 855 - listing

We purchased a mid 2013 MF 855 a few weeks ago.

On arrival the boat the boat appeared to be listing slightly - were still fairly new to boats - so I didn't think too much of it.

A boating neighbour pointed out the boat was listing approx 2 inches. So we had the waste tank pumped out, which was full - that helped slightly - listing now around 1.5 inches.

We had an engineer come aboard on Friday - he went over the boat - he couldn't find an explanation for the list and he didn't remark that a boat of this age should be well balanced.

Apart from the webasto heating system and a 5 gallon diesel tank - we have added nothing to the starboard side to make it any heavier.

When I stand right on the port side - and I'm 13 stone of pure muscle - it makes approx .5 of an inch difference - so ie were still getting an inch or so of list.

Hope that makes sense - thought someone with an MF might have an idea?

Cambrian said they have never seen an 855 with a list before. Just waiting for more ideas from them before we go adding any weight to the boat.

Did it list before you added the diesel tank and eber?

There is no inherent hull design issue with the 855 so it must be kit you (or someone) has addedd

I currently have the Antares version. I found when low on fuel and the holding tank was full, I had a slight list. If my engine was raised, I used to turn it to one side to counteract the list

I've never seen it in the water neither has Robin I think - it's been on hard standing in his yard.

The petrol tank is full to the brim.

I would think my weight would counter the weight of the webasto and diesel on that side - as explained there is still a list over when I'm on the opposite side.

Tried with engines raise and lowered.

She has twins - perhaps they they weren't totally square that would cause it - it's the only thing I can thing of this morning - I'll go and measure them today.
