I've had my Merry Fisher 805 for 6 years now and not felt it needed trim tabs. Mind you, I have a bow thruster and battery right up in the bows, which probably helps keep the nose down. It is a very 'wet' boat in heavy weather & takes quite a bit of water over the top - I would be a bit concerned that pushing the bows down with trim tabs might make this even worse? She's for sale by the way if anyone is interested.
