On my MF 805 the only scupper on the aft deck area is on the Starboard Side. Unfortunately with a full fuel tank there is a natural list to port ( same size as fuel tank). This means rain water collects on that side and does not drain. This is added to from the roof drain which drains into the same area.
Has anyone had the same experience and if so how did you resolve it. I hate a wet deck.
I reckon I would need to add 150kg plus of sandbags to the lazarette on the other side to counter it. A bit excessive!

I have a 805 and i keep the water tank full which helps and also i have a flexi electrical conduit fixed to the roof drain and i have it draining in the port side gunnel drain by the step. I forgot to add i have my canopy on all the time , also if you want a picture i can send you one of my set up.

Same problem
Got fed up with running around with 100 kg of water all the time
Fitted Volvo tabs
Problem solved and runs better in heavy seas

Thanks Jamie,

I've just fitted a temporary flexible hose to the roof drain and put my canopy up for the winter. I will try topping up the water tank and maybe the Sewage tank ((which is disconnected) I just can't believe they would only fit one scupper). Also I am a little bit down by the head so the water collects at the forward port part of the aft deck.
Thanks . Would love a picture of the roof drain.

I have the same problem and it’s driving me nuts. Water collects, sun hits it and algae forms. I am about to take the nuclear option of drilling through the port side deck and side shell and fitting a drain It will be hard to get it flush but I’ll do my best. I’ve thought of water bag ballast in lazarette on starboard side (available for wakeboarding boats) but that will create further problems with water pooling on starboard side of the roof. Aaagh

Me too! I drilled out the roof drain which dropped straight onto the rear deck and sliding door and fitted a hose barb fitting with a hose following the groove between the upped and lower sections around the corner to the window and fitted a pipe clip here to hold the hose which drains directly into the walkway scupper. It keeps the roof water off the deck but I too have a puddle on the port side as no cover on at the moment.

I too keep my water tank full and it tends to keep the boat on an almost even keel unless I've just filled with diesel.

With regards to the roof drain - mine drains internally through the port side rear pillar and down out of its own dedicated drain hole on the side. Is this not normal on an 805?

Hopefully you can see the elbow here from the drain, into the pillar.

Are you saying that yours was made that way? Mine just had a fitting under the hole to direct the water onto the rear deck. You cannot get access to the inside of the pillar AFAIK?

I bought second hand but it looks very factory fitted to me. The outlet is identical, and next to, the one from the side deck drain. All pipe work concealed in the pillar.
I feel quite lucky!

I have a list to starboard and slightly forward. I compensate this by having a wakeboarding ballast bag fitted in the rear port lazzarette. It was recommended to me by @BruceK . And I must admit it was a good idea. Better to have neautral ballast on board than sand bags!!
