I've had a series of Merry Fishers from the 625 to the 705 to the 925 that I have now and bar the 625 (had a serious issue with mine) have loved them all.
For the money you get an awful lot of boat but they are more the sort of family boat that you can fish from where as the Orkney's are more of an angling boat that you can take the family out on.
The Orkney will be more money but the build quality is miles better than the Jeanneau's from hull layup through to quality of fixtures and fittings.
Plenty of both types of boats for sale so have a look and see which one suits your situation best.
