Ive got a MF 645 with a Suzuki 115
An excellent boat for my location, Poole harbour.
I would recommend you go for the max HP engine for the boat, not sure what that would be but at least a 90.
I find that my boat has 2 realistic cruising speeds, 6kts and 18kts with a max speed of about 24kts
If the wind is over 12kts and gusting, docking can get interesting as there's no real control below 3kts and its a light boat.
Overall im very happy with it

I had a MF585 with a 90hp Honda. I loved that boat…took it out in seas that scared me a lot more than it worried the boat…and I could dock her in any tight situation..quite amazing how many compliments I received from people dockside. A very nice boat/trailer combination..went on long road trips

Seem to be decent enough in a chop, the ones I’ve seen going. Suppose it depends what outboard she has on her too…as you’ll know already.

Yes I think you need to be at the Max side on the outboard. A 115 would I am sure do the job

Sure it would. Especially if it was one of the mercury 115’s of recent years…speaking as an owner of one. Amazingly powerful things. I’ve one on a 6m cuddy. Astonishing, how well she performs. Different league from the previous 115 Yamaha she had before it. Anyway. Best of luck, should you be on the hunt for the new boat.

Haha. You’d have been quite accurate, if you were meaning me, I’ll admit, haha. Also suffer from the same affliction. A fletcher is one of the currently unused in the flotilla!

BP. Why do you want so many boats in your fleet? Its totally your perogative but i just can't understand how you justify to yourself and undertake the maintenance.

Brilliant boat. If you are passing anywhere near Southampton Dry Stack you can come out and see for yourself. Does need the 115 outboard though.

You are correct it is my Perogative and you have no need to worry about it and you dont need to understand do you. Why do I have to Justify things to myself. 80 % of the maintenance people do is unessary.
Now have you any answer to the question posed at the top of this thread. If not I have a questions for you.... What do you think money is for

The design style with a wide hull and relatively short bow is a compromise that benefits stability when stationary or at low speed. At the cost of comfort at speed, if you go fast in a chop.
