Hi
does anyone have a pdf manual or a link to one please? I think my impeller is seized so I'll need to do some servicing and I don't have a manual as we bought the engine second hand

I've checked the links given in threads (of a few years ago) but they don't seem to work anymore

Afraid I can't help you with a link, although I have a full service manual and would be happy to describe the procedure if no-one else can point you at a PDF.
The 2.5 (and 3.5A2 but not 3.5B2)* have a very simple set-up: the impeller housing is immediately behind the prop and very easy to get at.

* Sorry, the manual's Tohatsu, as are the model codes above, although the Mercury engines are mechanically identical since Tohatsu makes 'em.

The engine is basically a Tohatsu so do search for a 2.5 manual.

On that model the impeller is behind the prop. Easy job.

If the problem is merely the impeller stuck standing it in a bucket of water for a while and then turning the flywheel clockwise might free it.
