3.5 Tohatsu Manual sought.

A mate has one of the last to be imported into UK 3.5HP Mariner 2 stroke outboards. (it was imported before the EU ban) Now in sunnier climes he was able to try a Tohatsu 3.5 on his dinghy. The Tohatsu goes faster and is rated at 0.2HP more. Allegedly the two motors are the same but just badge engineered. Any ideas as to why one motor is more powerful than the other?

Possibly a different prop, I have a choice of two with my Tohatsu.
