Mercury 3.3 Carry Bag, any recommendations?

Why do you want to put it in a bag? Having owned outboards for many years this is the first time I have ever heard of a bag for one. If you want to protect other things in the boot of your car perhaps you could throw an old curtain or something similar over it?

Good idea, if I was any good at sewing I could even make the curtain custom fit!

You're right maybe the bag idea is a waste of money!

On a similar note-Over the past few years since really getting into this boating lark, I must admit that doing as much DIY as possible and not paying excessive marinas fees not only helps the bank balance, but increases the enjoyment!

Seateach having rejected our old sails as too knackered to be worth selling at any price, my mum suggested using the cloth to make an outboard bag. My dad, possibly traumatised by old Seagulls, regards outboards as inevitably dirty, greasy, oil-dripping things that shouldn't be allowed any further onto the yacht than the mounting bracket on the pushpit. But of course you can't leave it there all the time, it'd get nicked. Hence the bag before stowing it in the locker.
