Hello
I have a mercury 25hp 2stroke outboard circa 1988 what wont spark, not sure what to check next, help!
tested the wires from the stator and trigger to switchbox, Im only able to check static readings as its a pull start & I have no peak reading meter just a standard multimeter set to ohms.
My results in ohms:
black/yellow wire to engine grnd: 0, should be 3250 plus?
black/white wire to grnd: 130, should be 150 plus?
trigger wire reading: brown/yellow to brown/white: 722, should be 750 plus?
brown/yellow & brown/white: 0, I believe thats correct?
I have tested all of the above with & without the cut of switch connected to eliminate that.

Now, the stator has just been replaced with what is supposed to be a used 'working' unit yet the above results would lead me to believe it is no good?
The old stator unit gave similar results when tested. One of the main flywheel magnets had come loose and was glued back before refitting of the flywheel.

Any input appreciated please?
