Mercury 2009 meet

Just a quick note to say a huge thanks to Brendan S and Waters Edge et al for a great evening.

It was difficult with the numbers and let downs etc but a super evening was had by all I think.

I was impressed with MDL - not only did I have double deck crew for the trip (thanks Mrs TCM) but an MDL chap was there to take my lines on arrival. Never before have I enjoyed such luxury!

Thanks again to all and fab to meet loads of newboaty people in person.

Yup. Well done Brendan. I made it to Mercury but had to get home this evening.
Met some great new people this afternoon.
Hope the hangovers aren't too fierce.

After I posted my note above i understand there was a splash at 0130hrs followed by a second swimmer......

1st was not controlled; second was; both saved I understand.

I know of 2 splashes - my wife and 1 of our guests. They pulled each other in - serves them both right! Neither were controlled and you could call it one big splash. Maybe there were more though?
