Ihad a breakin at the boat possibly between lunchtime saturday and tuesday AM but may have been much longer as I havnt been there for 4 weeks. They stole my tender outboard and a few bits as follows.

1.Newish 15hp Mercury 2 stroke short shaft outboard in immaculate condition.
2. An Orange outboard fuel container with the Italian make " selva" writen on it. 25 litre I think but could be 15litre sorry I cant remember the fuel capacity.Rare in the UK as I brought it back from Italy and selva the outboard manufacturer dont trade much in the UK.
3. Binoculars
5.Ipod.
6.Flares pack.

They were going to steal our brand new life jackets but left them.

Give me a call if anyone sees an outboard especially with a Selva fuel tank for sale..07740 472975

Hi Andy, was the engine chained to the boat? which yard are you in as I have a friend who has boat in Rossiters, seems all to common these days, I had my 8hp yamaha damaged by thieves but they didnt get it due to the size of the chain and lock I have on it.

Look on ebay for it, though its mainly boat jumbles they turn up at unless its been stolen to order.

Sorry to hear that.

Yep, Im in Rossiters. It was in the toilet down below and they broke in and found it.
Any idea when there is a Boat jumble along the south coast anywhere?Already trawling ebay. Its the fuel tank that is distinctive as it is Italian.SELVA I dont think were sold in the UK.They use rebranded yamaha engines in Italy I think.
I visited the boat Saturday lunch time and saw nothing although I couldnt get to the boat due to flood.

Its not insured which is a bummer and they are getting rare to find in new condition ,as Im sure everybody knows, they stopped making the 2 stroke.

Have you registered this with the Police ? Worth checking that is has been recorded as a 'marine related crime' because there are a number of relevant enquiries going on at present.

good luck getting it back.
