Mercruiser pitch help

I'm afraid I have no knowledge of your language whatsoever, but suspect your understanding of 'idle' is opposite to it's meaning.

Google helped me to suggest that 'aylak' means idle and 'tam hız' means full speed in Turkish. For propeller evaluation the latter is relevant - idle does not mean anything in this context.

On the other hand idle must be correct for your gear to engage correctly :)

We measured a little before my engines rpm with electronic devices (at anchorage)

for example my tachometer is 5000rpm but electonic devices are 4600rmp it Show(in neutral)

ı will sent my tachometer to technican it is something wrong ı think

tomorrow ı will monted our old propeller and ı will tested true tachometer with my engines rpm

I ADD THE MY VIDEO to youtube. At the march month(05/03/2015)we clean the hull and one of the engine technician renew my engine (tail,oil change,cleaning,all engine maintenance)

this is the last speed with my J 16X13PROP but I cannot see this knot again

yesterday I sent my tachometer to work shop,when it come I will test my boat one of the propeller and I will look the max.RPM and then we will look which props are ok for me!

Today i spoke the one engine technician in turkiye he said my boats tail is very small(alpha one)my engine is very big v8 5.7L also my boat is heavy aprox 2900kg also i have alpha one tail for that reason they use j 16x13 pitch for transmission thinks

It is correct thinks?can you advise?

The Alpha One is rated to about 280 HP, so your 5.7 V8 is OK with this leg. It does not need a 16 inch diameter to protect the leg from the torque that the engine will be developing.
As has been said, most props for the Mercruiser Alpha One with 5.7 V8 are 14 or 15 inch diameter.
Mine is 14.75 on a 17 inch pitch and, as I said, it's slightly underpropped on my 26 foot boat but as mine has a 21 inch deadrise compared to your 18 inch deadrise, there's not too much difference.
On the 14.75x17 prop on my boat, I'm running at 20 knots at 3100 rpm and 30 knots at 4500 rpm, 33 knots at 4800 rpm.
If you cleaned your hull in March, it will be fouled again by now.

your boat is empty 2064 kg my boat is 3064 kg

ı think it is also important for propeller ????? what do you think

My tachometer is wrong i think tomorow i will buy new one but my prop is now broken i must test one of the propeller to new tachometer for that reason tomorrow i will buy new props to test

I think my engines max rpm 4800 16diameter is big as they told for alpha one 13 pitch is very small im thinking to buy standart 14.80 dimater 15pitch propeller to test my boat
What is your think for test i must buy new prop for test

Can you advise which diameter and which pitch i will buy
14.80x15 or 14.75x 17 or for your suggestion???

You previously stated that the boat did 30-32 knots.

Bring the boat back to that same state - wihtout any defects - and it will perform as before.

Today İ test My boat with 14.5×17 stainless still prop.my boats hull is Dirty water tank is full but I saw 20.36knots Max this prop.but My tachomwter is tomorrow Coming FOR that Reason im not See THE rpm.we test only two Person with My boat

What can ı do?tomorrow ı Will Buy My prop.

I Bought new prop is 16x13. I cleaned by hull now ı run 29knots it is very good for me,

but I check three times first start my engines and ı saw 80degree engine temperature I going to the beach for swimming 2miles away

my engine is max run 17knot when Im going,I stay 1 or 2 hours in the beach when I return to our marine, I run 29knots

I dont understand what is it?why our engine is not running 29 knots when I start my engine firstly,is it to do with the engine overheating

can you pls give information?
