Mercruiser Oil Filters

I would like to source some non merc. oilfilters for my 4.2td. These are large and expensive and unlike volvosmokers I cant find a comp. filter from the auto parts dealers. I like to change my filters at least twice a year. Also is there one to compare with the water separating filter? Dave.

fuel mine are the 2004 quick release ones - I have alternative parts but the quick release system needs to be spot on, are you sure you want to mess with this ?

perkins also fit the fuel filters and are a few squid cheaper but could devalue your boat for the sake of a few quid ?????

Fram do make filters but not easy to obtain in the UK

I have not imported these as on the side of the filter are two embossed lugs that align with the quick release locking ring.

If you find a match I would be keen to obtain a couple for on board spares.
