No issues with the ecm or mass.
I had a starting problem years ago , turned out to be a relay that needed the contacts cleaning.
I hot wired for a year until I found it as it was intermittent.

Bought home my chums newly purchased Broom 33 with 180 HP Mercruisers on Wednesday.
Smoked a bit on start up but as they had been standing on the hard for a few months and had all the filters changed this might have been expected.
Once under way all smoke cleared.
Possibly a tad smoother, but possibly that might be down to being on the command bridge

Hi .. just to revive this .. I’ve got twin 4.2 vm’s and am worried one of the turbos is dead
Starboard side engine full throttle goes to 1800-2000 revs and the turbo dosnt “ kick in “ . Port side kicks the turbo in on its own ??

Is it VGT? If so vanes could be stuck open.
