mercruiser bravo1 u joint bellows bonding clips

Please can any one let me know how many bonding clips are required on the U-joint bellows and were they go . I have looked in the book but it does not explain it to well.

If it's the same as on an Alpha1 (and I assume it would be as the electrolytic effects will be just the same), you need one bonding clip on each end of the bellows to protect the worm drive clips. Press the bonding clip onto the bellows before you spread the adhesive sealant on it. The side with the sharp spike goes under the lip of the bellows so it will bite into the alloy of the transom shield or drive unit, and the worm drive clip goes over the top of the outer lip of the bonding clip. They bond the worm drive clips electrically to the rest of the drive unit.
